Arrive at Work on Time
Transcript
In this video, you will use Google Maps to find the quickest route to work, which will help you arrive on time.
Being “on time” means you are ready to start working when your shift begins.
No one can control traffic or public transportation, but Google Maps shows how long a commute usually takes at the time of day you will be going to work.
Depending on your job, you may need to arrive a few minutes early to prepare.
For example, you might need time to change into a uniform or find out your tasks for the day.
To plan your commute, return to Google Maps.
Get directions to your workplace or the business you chose.
Add your starting address.
For example, you may go to work from home or school.
Select the way you will travel to the job from your starting location.
You can see the time it takes to commute by driving, using public transportation, walking, or cycling.
The directions are based on leaving now, but roads could be busier at different times of day, making the trip take longer.
Enter the time you need to arrive at work.
Plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early, especially on your first day.
