In this video, you will format your spreadsheet to represent your territory on a digital ocean.

To wage a sea battle, you and your partner both need ships and territory on a digital ocean.

When you guess the location of your partner’s ships and “sink” them, you win the game! To begin, create a grid with ten columns and ten rows to represent the boundaries of your ocean territory.

A column is a vertical set of cells, while a row is a horizontal set of cells.

First, select the cells in the first ten columns And ten rows.

Then place a border around these cells.

And adjust the border’s thickness so that your territory and each cell in it is well-defined.

Next, make each cell a square.

First, adjust the row heights.

Then, adjust the column widths to the same number of pixels to create squares.

Add blue shading to make your territory look like the ocean.

When you play, you will mark your partner’s guesses on your spreadsheet by typing an X in each cell they name.

Add a sample X.

Then, change the text to a bright color so it’s easier to read.

Increase the font size.

Bold and center the text.

Then copy the format changes you just made.

And paste the formatting into all the cells in your grid.

When you add text to these cells later, the new formatting will be applied.

Finally, delete the sample X.

Now, it’s your turn: Add a border to the first ten columns and rows, Resize the cells to make them square, Add blue shading to your grid, And format your font to make it easier to read.
