Or, you can explore other design options that will help you express yourself more.

In this extension, you will explore different visual effects for your logo, such as Word Art, adding an image, and more.

To complete this extension, you will: Change your logo’s shape and color, Insert Word Art, Add color to your Word Art, Add an image, And change the border color.

To begin, make a copy of your drawing and give it a title.

The first visual effect you may want to change is your logo’s shape.

Return to the list you created in the main lesson and decide if there is another shape that matches one of your words or phrases.

Then, decide if you want to change the color of your logo to fit your new shape.

If you added other shapes in the main lesson, decide where you will place them in your new logo.

Next, experiment with using Word Art for some or all of your text.

Word Art combines text with other visual effects, like color, to allow you to express yourself more.

Delete the text where you want to use Word Art.

Then, insert it again using Word Art.

If necessary, resize or reposition your Word Art to fit it into your logo.

Change your Word Art text to a font that reflects your personality.

Next, add color to your Word Art.

Choose a color to make your letters stand out or one that’s meaningful to you.

If you wish, add more Word Art to the text in your logo or just adjust the text so everything is aligned.

Now, consider adding an image to your logo to customize the message you want to send.

Search the web for an image and make sure you have permission to use that image.

Move the image to where you want it inside or outside of your logo and adjust its size.

If you wish, change other visual effects, like the border color, to complement your new logo.

Share Your Logo and Ask for Feedback

Then, you will decide which of their suggestions to implement.

Asking for feedback on a project is a great way to get valuable suggestions and ideas from others.

It can help you improve your work and boost your creativity! As you complete this extension, you will: Share your logo with someone, Set editing permissions, Ask for specific forms of feedback, And implement the suggestions that you like.

To begin, return to your drawing and make a copy of it.

Then, open the Share settings.

Add the email address of the person you will ask to review your logo.

Select the permission you want to use: Editor means the person you share with can make changes directly in your drawing.

Commenter allows them to make comments, but not change the logo.

And viewer lets them see your logo only.

For this extension, choose Commenter.

Before you send your drawing, open your original description list in a new tab.

Compare the items on the list with your logo.

Remind yourself why you chose each symbol, shape, or color.

Now, add a note explaining why you chose the symbols, shapes, and colors that you did.

For example, you can explain that you chose the smiling face because you’re a funny person.

Then, be specific about the type of feedback you are seeking.

For example, you might want to know if your color choice is appropriate for a school project or what they might change about the logo to better represent who you are.

Send your request.

The person will receive an email with your note and the link to the drawing with your logo.

Your partner can let you know when they are done adding feedback by adding your email address into a comment.

Open the email from your partner with their comments and suggestions.

If you wish, reply to their comments.

Decide if you want to implement the suggestions.

Then, resolve the comments.

Asking for feedback helps you turn your logo into a symbol that more effectively expresses your identity and personality.

Add Your Logo to a Project

Add your logo to a project, such as a Google site or school paper.

In this extension, you will insert your logo into a project.

A logo gives a more personalized look to whatever you add it to.

As you work on this extension, you will: Insert your logo into the project you choose, And adjust its placement as needed.

To start, decide what you would like to add your logo to.

This video shows a website and school project as examples, but you can choose a social media page, an email signature, or anything else you would like.

If you’re adding your logo to a Google site, open a site you already have, or create a new one and give it a title.

Create a title for your webpage.

You could use your personal site to highlight a hobby or just share information about a topic.

Next, add your logo.

Insert the logo from your Drive.

Then, move your logo to the place where you want it to appear.

If you are personalizing a document, such as a resume or school paper, you may want to create another logo that’s more professional.

Open the document you want to add a logo to.

Decide where your logo would look best in the document.

If you are writing a school paper, a logo at the top will look professional.

Place your cursor where you want your logo to appear.

Then, insert a linked logo.

When you add a linked logo, any changes you make in your logo drawing will automatically be updated in your other projects.

Your text may shift when you add your logo.

Be sure to wrap your text and reposition any text that moved.

You may also need to adjust the size of the logo.
