In this lesson, you worked with a partner to prepare for a college interview.

Collaborating in a document allows you to practice for the interview together and get ideas from each other about ways to answer potential questions.

It also lets you provide helpful and constructive feedback to each other before you get into the actual interview room.

In this lesson, you: Shared a document with your partner, Did online research to get specific information about a school, Created a bulleted list with at least three points you learned, Selected a potential interview question for your partner to answer, Answered the question your partner chose for you, And provided thoughtful feedback on your partner’s answer.

You learned that the main purpose of practicing for your interview is to feel well-prepared going into it.

Remember, you don’t have to memorize your answers like a script.

It’s best to just have a natural conversation with the interviewer so they can get to know you better and you can learn more about the college.

For the interview, dress professionally, be punctual, and bring whatever materials you are asked to bring.

It’s also a good idea to take along something to write down any important information your interviewer gives you.

The same skills you learned in this lesson can apply in the future even when you go on job interviews.

Every time you prepare for an interview, you should research the company and practice answering questions that may be asked of you.

Excellent work! Now, you should have some idea of what to expect in your college interview and hopefully feel well-prepared to have a great conversation.

Best of luck!
