Prepare for the FAFSA Wrap-Up
Transcript
In this lesson, you used Google Sheets to prepare for the FAFSA.
By creating a spreadsheet, you can save time and be better organized to manage the documents you will need to complete the FAFSA.
This makes it more likely that you will get everything in on time and correctly, so that your application won't be rejected or delayed because you are missing something.
To prepare and organize for the FAFSA, you: created and named a new spreadsheet, labeled column headers and applied formatting to make them stand out, determined your dependency status, identified the documents you will need to gather, added a list of the documents you will need to complete the FAFSA, added the name of the person you will request each document from, added data validation to track the status of your documents, and you uploaded a document to Google Drive and inserted a link to it in your spreadsheet.
The skills you've learned in this lesson can be applied in a variety of ways, such as creating a spreadsheet to organize a club, organizing information about colleges you're interested in attending, or for organizing a group project in school.
You've taken the first step towards funding your education.
Good luck with your application!
