Change Your Poster’s Background Color

Choose a background color for your poster.

Transcript

In this video, you will choose a background color for your poster in Google Drawings.

The background is all the extra space left over after you add your text and images.

Since the text and images are the most important things on your poster, make sure that your background doesn't distract from them.

For example, if your background is too dark, too light, or too similar a color, people might not be able to see the text and images on your poster clearly.

To start, open your poster.

Then, right-click anywhere on the background and choose a background color.

You can choose your favorite color or one that's meaningful to you, like the color of your favorite sports team.

Now, it's your turn: open your poster, right-click on the background, and choose a background color.

Add Your Favorite Book, Movie, or TV Show Using Word Art

Add another favorite item to your poster using Word Art.

Transcript

In this video, you will add the name of your favorite book, movie, or TV show to your poster using Word Art in Google Drawings.

Word Art helps you to make letters, numbers, or other text symbols more fun and interesting.

To begin, open your poster.

And insert Word Art.

In the box, type your favorite book, movie, or TV show.

Resize the Word Art by clicking on, then dragging, a handle on the text box.

Move it to where you want on your poster.

And format your Word Art.

Try out the different options.

You might choose: drop shadow to add a shadow.

Pick the color you like.

Or, see if you prefer using transparency, angle, distance, and blur radius.

"Transparency" means how much the shadow color can be seen through.

Changing the "angle" will rotate the shadow around the Word Art.

The "distance" is how far away from your Word Art the shadow will appear.

And the "blur radius" will either keep the shadow all together, or far apart.

Now, it's your turn: open your poster, insert Word Art of your favorite book, movie, or TV show, and try out different format options.

Continue adding borders and colors to each of your pictures.

Now, it's your turn: open your poster, click on an image, add a border weight and color, and repeat the process until all your pictures have borders with colors.
