In this lesson, you created a timeline to reflect on events that happened to you personally, in your community, or around the world.

You learned that you can use a timeline to look back on events that happened in the past while also looking forward to the future.

Plus, using digital skills to create your timeline allows you to make changes and continue to add past and future events that were or will be meaningful to you.

As you worked through this lesson, you: Inserted a timeline diagram template into a drawing...

Added past events to your timeline...

Shared how you felt about each event using words and colors...

Added events that you’re looking forward to to your timeline...

Added a background color and title to your timeline...

Personalized your timeline with photos, images or GIFs...

And talked with your teacher about how to share your timeline.

You also learned digital skills like copying and pasting grouped objects and changing the background color of a drawing.

You can use a timeline not just for thinking about experiences during global events, but also for more personal experiences throughout the years.

For example, you might show the first year you joined a dance class on a timeline and then the year you had an important part in your studio’s recital.

Timelines are helpful for reflecting on the past and for looking toward the future!
