When you think of showing what you know about a topic, you might picture repeating facts you learned by reading a textbook, taking tests, or writing research papers.

But you can also demonstrate your knowledge of a subject by creating a meme.

A meme is a funny image, video, or other file that is copied and spread quickly online.

Most digital memes show an image or video paired with a few words that explain, comment on, or joke about the image.

The words might make a connection between the image and something in the news or something people experience often in their own lives.

Memes are a funny and memorable way to represent a topic or make a statement about a subject.

They can also help you remember important information.

In this lesson, you will create your own meme to comment on a topic you have learned about.

As you complete this project, you will: - Choose a topic to create a meme about, - Create and resize a digital canvas, - Find an image that illustrates your topic, - Create a border around the meme, - Write a caption with Word Art, and - Share your meme online or in your classroom This lesson uses Google Drawings, but you could complete this project using any graphic design application, a meme generator, or even a piece of paper and art supplies.
