After high school, you may choose to continue your education.
Whether you decide to pursue a Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree, Vocational School, or some other kind of professional development, paying for school can be challenging.
As you consider your educational options, it’s also important to think about how you will pay for them.
There are many different ways to pay for school.
Using funds from personal savings, loans, working while in school, or some combination are all common approaches to covering the cost of tuition.
Scholarships can also help you pay for school.
Scholarships are financial aid awards provided to students to help them pay for their education.
In this lesson, you will search for scholarships using a free online scholarship finder.
Then, you will create a spreadsheet to help you record your research. A spreadsheet can help you organize your information about the different scholarships that are available and can serve as a useful reference when you are ready to apply for them.
This lesson uses Google Sheets, but you could apply these skills and concepts in any spreadsheet application or even using a paper and pencil.
As you complete this lesson, you will: Use keywords to find scholarships aligned with your skills and interests, Use filters to find scholarships based on where you live and what makes you unique, And create a spreadsheet to organize these funding opportunities, their application requirements, and your deadlines.
