Draw Your Comic
Transcript
In this video, you will add the parts of your story to your comic strip.
Use your comic strip plan to help you place characters, setting, and objects in each frame of your comic strip.
To begin, choose a frame and look at your comic strip plan to see what to add to it.
Insert shapes and lines into the frame to draw the characters.
You could use circles to draw a character’s head.
Resize them, as needed.
Don’t worry if your figures don’t look perfect.
Characters in comic strips often look exaggerated, silly, or fun.
You can make your characters look however you like.
To save time, copy a shape to use it again.
Next, look at your comic strip plan to see what the setting and objects are for the frame.
Insert shapes and lines to draw them.
The setting could be a simple line to mark a landscape or shapes that outline a house.
Change the placement of shapes if one shape covers another one.
You can send the shape that’s covering the other one to the back or behind it so that both show in the comic strip.
Arrange them so your comic strip looks the way you want it to.
Then, use these same methods to complete the other frames in your comic strip.
Now it's your turn: Draw elements for a frame, resize and arrange them, and complete the other frames.
