Calculate Your Score

In this video, you and your partner will calculate your scores to see who thought of more words.
You will use the COUNTA function to add up your scores quickly and accurately.
The COUNTA function counts the number of cells that are not empty.
To begin scoring your game, select a cell below your list of words, and type in the word “Score,” so you can find the score easily.
Next, write a COUNTA function.
Type an equal sign followed by C-O-U-N-T-A, then select the function.
Now, select the range of cells you want to include in your count.
Make sure this range includes all the words you put together from your random letters.
Each word is worth one point.
Press Enter to see how many words you wrote! Now, you and your partner will record your scores on the Letters sheet.
Return to the Letters sheet.
Type “final scores” below your ten random numbers, then write each partner’s name next to their final score.
Now, it’s your turn: Use the COUNTA function to add up your score, And record your score on your Letters sheet.
