In this video you will add speaker notes to describe your design and the icons you chose.

Speaker notes are useful when sharing a presentation with someone or a group.

Speaker notes help you highlight the key concepts that you want to talk about in a slide when presenting.

They are not visible for an audience when the slide is projected so only you can see them.

To begin, add speaker notes about the theme you chose for your papel picado.

Explain who or what your papel picado represents?

Next, explain why you chose the particular icons.

Your icons might seem obvious to you, but people interpret the symbolic meaning of icons differently depending on their own experiences or culture.

For example, the sugar skulls often seen at Día de los Muertos celebrations are symbolic of life.

Different cultures have other beliefs around icons they’ve adopted and given meaning to.

Describe at least three of your icons in your notes.

Explain the ideas or qualities they represent to you and how they are symbolic to your theme.

When you are finished writing your notes, view your slides in “present mode” to see the finished product.

Now it's your turn: add speaker notes, Explain your theme, Explain the meaning of three of your icons, and view your slide in present mode.
