Whether you are interested in the history of AI, how it works, how it's used in a particular field, or any related topic, there are many interesting aspects of AI you can learn about.

In this lesson, you will explore an AI topic you choose, or your teacher might select a topic for you.

Then, you will create a project about your topic and present it to your classmates.

You can work on this activity on your own or with a group.

First, you will pick a topic.

Choose a topic from the website, use one provided by your teacher, or develop your own topic and have your teacher approve it.

You will keep track of sources and information in an exploration document.

If you choose one of the topics from the website, make a copy of the provided exploration document about that topic.

Or, create your own exploration document in Google Docs.

To develop your own topic, ask yourself what interests you about AI.

For example, you might want to learn about the different ways you can use AI in your everyday life or you might want to research how it works.

Next, get ready to explore! To keep your exploration focused, you can choose some of the example questions in the exploration document for the topic you chose, or you can write your own questions.

If you're working in a group, share the document with all of your group members.

Then, you will explore the topic by searching the internet.

Suggested sources are listed in the exploration document, but you can also find your own.

You will need to evaluate each source you find for credibility to make sure it doesn't contain false or misleading information.

A "credible" source is one that is accurate and trustworthy.

It can be helpful to look up the author and organization to check if they have an interest that might influence the way they're presenting information to you.

You can also try adding site, colon, ".edu" or site, colon, ".gov" to the end of your search terms to focus your search results on education and government websites, which may be more credible.

After you've found credible sources, you will create a project to communicate the information you found.

It is up to you to choose the Google application that best suits your topic.

For example, you could write an article in Google Docs, create a presentation in Google Slides, or build a website in Google Sites.

Finally, you will present your project to your class and your teacher, communicating what is important and interesting about it.

Now, it's your turn: click "Next" to choose a topic, explore your topic in an internet search, create a project in a Google application, and present your project to your classmates.
