A spreadsheet is an application that allows you to record, sort, calculate, and organize information.

You can use a spreadsheet: To make a contact list of your friends, To track the money you raised at your school fundraiser, To record data on your classroom pet.

But did you know that you can also use a spreadsheet to create a fun word game that can help you build your vocabulary?

In this lesson, you will create a word jumble game using functions and formulas.

This lesson uses Google Sheets, but you can apply these skills and concepts using any spreadsheet application.

As you complete this lesson, you will: Find a partner and create a new spreadsheet, Write a formula to create a random list of letters, Use the letters to form as many words as you can, And use a function to calculate your score.

To begin, choose a partner.

Your teacher may also assign you a partner.

You and your partner will sit at separate computers, and play the game together using a shared spreadsheet.

To work on this lesson, both of you will need to sign in to your Google accounts.

Open a new tab in your browser, and navigate to Google.com.

If you are not signed in, do so now.

If you do not have a Google account, pause the video and create one.

Then, move on to the next video to create and share your spreadsheet.
