Analyze Your Remaining Time
Transcript
In this lesson, you will figure out how much extra time you had left over on the day you recorded your activities.
First, create columns for "Total Hours Left" and "Total Minutes Left" so that you will be able to see how much free time you have.
To figure out how much time you have left in your day, subtract your total hours spent from 24, since there are 24 hours in a day.
Use the cell reference for your "Total" time spent to account for extra minutes.
If your activities took up most of the day, you may only have a little time left.
If you only have a partial hour remaining, convert the time back into minutes to see exactly how much time you have left to spend.
To do this, multiply it by 60.
On a keyboard, the asterisk symbol is used for multiplication.
This will give you an idea of how much time you have left to budget for new activities.
Or, you can use the information to balance your activities differently, like adding more homework time or spending less time on social media.
Now, it's your turn: subtract your total hours spent from 24, and convert your remaining time back into minutes.
Instructions
