Create a Document

In this video, you will learn how to create a new document.
Then, you’ll give it a name. This will become your celebration planning document.
To start, open the “Google apps” menu.
Click on the Google apps icon. An icon is a symbol that represents a specific action or app.
When you click the icon, you will open the Google apps menu, which shows the icons of different Google apps.
Click on the gray bar, which is called a scroll bar, and drag it down until you see the Google Docs icon. Your apps may appear in a different order than the ones in this video.
Click on the Google Docs icon to open the app.
To create a new blank document, click on the image of the document with a large “plus” sign. Nice job! You’ve created your document.
Now give it a name.
Click on the gray text in the upper left corner that says “Untitled Document.” Type in a new name for your document. It can be anything you want.
In the future, you’ll use this name to find your file when you want to open it, so make sure it’s something that tells you what’s inside the document.
If you can’t think of another title for your document, name it “Celebration Plan.” Close the document by clicking on the "X" on the tab that contains the celebration plan. Don’t worry, your work will be saved automatically.
