Adding visual elements is a great way to bring more attention to your flyer.
Colors and images that are meaningful to Juneteenth can get your flyer noticed and attract more people to your celebration.
To begin, add a background to your canvas.
You can choose a color that’s meaningful to your celebration or one that looks good with the rest of your flyer.
Pick a solid color...
...Or a color gradient, which is a design effect that blends different shades of a color from light to dark.
Next, search for an image.
Use what you saw on Google Arts & Culture for inspiration.
Search for the image and make sure you have the right to use the image.
You might also use your own image or one from your local community.
Then, add the image to your flyer.
Move the image and adjust its size to fit with the text in your flyer.
You want the image to be large enough to see clearly but not so large that it takes the focus away from the information.
You may need to move your text boxes to make room and align them with your image.
Add other images if you would like.
You can even add a background image.
Finally, add shapes to your flyer to highlight certain text.
Make the shape transparent so you can still see the text.
If you’d like, change the thickness and color of the border to make the text stand out.
Decide if there are other details you would like to add a shape around...
And add the shape.
Finally, add any finishing touches you would like to your flyer.
