Google Arts and Culture is a website that gives you access to content related to arts and culture from around the world.

You can watch videos and view exhibits; explore images and sounds; and read articles to learn about the celebrations, historical sites, art, and events that shape cultures world-wide.

In this lesson, you will explore the Palace of Versailles, the former home of French royalty.

The Palace of Versailles is an important achievement in French 17th century art.

Once a hunting lodge for King Louis XIII, his son, Louis XIV, began making it into a grand palace in 1682.

Today, visitors are in awe of this amazing site.

In this lesson, you will take your own virtual tour of the Palace at Google Arts and Culture’s “Versailles: The Palace Is Yours.” You will then use what you learned to create a quiz in Google Forms.

As you explore, you will read interesting facts and fascinating stories about a variety of topics, such as the royal court’s contributions to science and research...
