Create a Clickable Vision Board Presentation

Insert your vision board into a presentation in Google Slides to make it clickable. Then, create new slides to focus individually on single goals.

Transcript

In this extension, you will create a clickable vision board to reflect and expand on one of your goals.

To do this, you will create a presentation in Google Slides and use your vision board image as the first slide.

You will then add another slide to your presentation and create a link to that slide.

To begin, download your vision board as a JPEG image.

Move the file to your Drive.

Then, open a new presentation in Google Slides and rename it.

Delete the text boxes on the first slide, Make the dimensions of your canvas larger, and insert your J-PEG image.

Resize the image to cover the entire slide.

Next, outline one of your words to create a clickable shape that will link to another slide.

To do this, select the polyline tool.

Roughly outline the word or phrase by clicking on points around it.

The shape doesn’t have to match the word exactly.

Then, make the shape transparent.

Next, add a slide to your presentation where you will provide more information on how you will improve on or maintain your goal.

Create a link to that slide.

Add a background color.

Then, add Word art to label the slide.

Change the font and colors, if you like.

Add a shape and format the fill color.

Add text to expand on your goals.

You can write about habits that can help you make progress.

You could also remind yourself of why this goal matters to you.

Finally, return to the first slide to check that when you click on the goal you chose, the link goes directly to the correct slide.

Now, it’s your turn: Save your vision board as a JPEG image, Create a new presentation in Google Slides, Use the image as the first slide in your presentation, Add another slide and expand on one of your goals, And create a link from your vision board image to that slide.

Add GIFs to Your Vision Board

Animate your vision board with GIFs.

Transcript

In this extension, you will add movement to your vision board by adding GIFs. GIF, or JIF, stands for Graphic Interchange Format.

An animated GIF is a short, repeating video image.

Using animated GIFs can add variety to your vision board.

To begin, make a copy of your project and rename it.

Select one of the goals or topics on your vision board that you would like to animate.

Open a new tab, and search for a GIF that relates.

Make sure you have the right to use the GIF, and then find the U-R-L associated with it.

Copy and paste the U-R-L into your vision board.

Resize and move the GIF to fit with your design.

Now, pick another topic from your vision board and search for another animated GIF.

Make sure you have the right to use the GIF, and then insert it.

Finally, resize and move the image.

Feel free to delete one of your images from the main lesson to make room for the GIF, if you’d like.

Now, it’s your turn: Search for an animated GIF, Copy and paste the URL, Resize and move the GIF, Add a second animated GIF, And delete images from the main lesson to make room, if you’d like.

Add a Document Links to Your Vision Board

Choose one or two goals on your vision board and create links to documents that will help you achieve those goals.

Transcript

In this extension, you will choose one or two goals on your vision board.

Then, you will create a link to a document that will help you track your progress toward achieving that goal.

First, make a copy of your project and rename it.

Then, think of a document that might help you achieve one of your goals.

This could be a diary you write in every day or a log where you record activities.

You may have been already using the document before you made the vision board, or you can create it now.

After you have one of your goals in mind, create a document that will help you keep track of smaller goals and remind you to work toward your larger goal a little each day.

Make the document specific to your goal, And something that you will use on a regular basis, like a daily miles tracker for running.

Next, create a link from your vision board to the document.

Use the Control- or Command-C keys to copy and the Control- or Command-V keys to paste.

If you would like, you can create documents for other goals as well.

For example, if one of your goals is to increase your confidence, you could link out to a journal document in which you write about your achievements and remind yourself of positive affirmations.

In the future, you can first look at your vision board to get inspiration, and then go directly to a document that will help you achieve your goal right from the board.

Now, it’s your turn: Choose one or two focus areas to link out to documents that will help you achieve your goal, And insert links to those documents.
