Introduction to Make Pop Art in Google Drawings

In this lesson, you will turn a photo into pop art.

Taking photos is a great way to remember people, places, and things you've seen.

Sometimes it's fun to change a photograph to make it more interesting, funny, or unique.

While there are apps or programs that change the colors and other aspects of a photo, another way to change the way a photo looks is to transform it into "pop art." "Pop art" is an art style originating in the 50s and 60s that drew inspiration from popular culture and everyday objects.

Famous people and characters are also common subjects of pop art.

One of the most well-known artists to create pop art was Andy Warhol, but many other artists such as Corita Kent used, and continue to use, pop art techniques as well.

As you complete this lesson, you will: choose a subject for your art, add the image to your drawing and outline it, and fill the outlined sections with colors.
