There’s so much to explore about the Space Shuttle Discovery at Google Arts and Culture.

Let’s go! To create your presentation, you will work in groups of three or four.

You can find your own group or form groups that your teacher assigns.

Have one group member open the starter project, And rename it with any title your group would like.

Then, sign in to your Google account.

Open a new tab in your browser and navigate to Google.com.

If you are not signed in, do so after this video.

If you do not have a Google account, create one after this video.

Share the project with the other members of your group.

Select the permission you want to use: Edit means the person you share with can make changes directly in your presentation.

Comment allows them to make comments, but not change the presentation.

And view lets them see your presentation only.

For this lesson, choose the edit option.

Then, return to your individual computers and open the shared project from your Drive.

In the presentation, click on the shuttle picture to open the link to the Google Arts and Culture website.

Then, click the link.

Spend time exploring all the awesome facts about the Space Shuttle Discovery.

If you wish, take notes about the details that interest you the most.

Then, gather with your group at a single computer to learn how to create slides.

When you’re ready, decide on a prompt to help you set the scene for your story.

Or, make up your own! Begin by setting up your first slide using the prompt you decided on.

Next, think about something that could happen to advance your story.

Use what you learned about the Discovery to help you.

Then, come up with two choices so the reader can decide how they want to continue their story.

You may want to spend some time as a group thinking through how your story will proceed if the reader clicks on that choice.

Add a slide for your first choice, And another for your second.

Return to the first slide you created...

...And add links to each choice slide.

If you wish, change the look of your slides by using the instructions in the starter project.

Continue adding part of your story and two choices to each slide.

Link the final choices to slides that will end that story.

Put each ending on an individual slide.

Now, your audience can click through your presentation to read a story that they created! Great job! You can continue to explore a wide variety of topics at Google Arts and Culture.

You can even save your favorite content and create your own gallery.

From virtual exhibits to 3D views of art and artifacts, Google Arts and Culture has something for everyone!
