Add Vocabulary Words to Your Slides
Transcript
In this video, you will add a title for your presentation, and then add your vocabulary words in new slides.
Using flash cards to learn and study vocabulary words can help to organize the words and make them easier to remember.
They provide a small amount of information in a format that is easy to view and understand quickly.
To begin, add a title to your title slide.
Then, add a subtitle.
If you know the chapter or section of text where your vocabulary words are, you can include that information here.
Next, add a new slide for your first vocabulary word.
Use a slide layout, such as Main Point, that provides a text box for your vocabulary word.
Add your first vocabulary word to the slide.
To find words, you can skim a section of text in your book, such as a chapter, to find unfamiliar words.
You may also use a vocabulary list provided by your teacher or a list you find using an online search.
In your slide, include the page number where you first encounter the word.
Use a smaller font size to help emphasize your vocabulary word.
Add the sentence in which the word is being used as well.
To indicate where in the sentence the vocabulary word is, underline it.
Add a new slide for each vocabulary word.
To save time, you can duplicate your slide.
Then, replace the details with details for your new word if you need to.
If the sentence from the text with your word is long, you can add only the part of the sentence containing the word.
