Join a Class and Comment in the Stream

In this video, you will join your class and add a comment in the class stream.

Remember, you will need to join a class where your teacher has already assigned work.

After you join the class you can start receiving work from your teacher and communicate with your classmates.

There are a few ways to join a class.

You can join with a class code that your teacher has shared with you.

You can join with a class link...

or with an email invite from your teacher.

Make sure you’re logged into the correct Google account to get access to the class.

If you’ve already joined the class or are enrolled in other classes, you may see multiple classes that you can navigate between once you’ve logged in.

Each class will display the course name, teacher, and theme so you can tell the difference between your classes.

To begin, join your class.

Once you enter your class, you will see the class stream.

The stream is the class homepage.

This is where you will see updates and announcements from your teacher.

You will also see notifications of new classwork.

Your teacher may have allowed you to comment on posts.

If so, the stream is a great place to ask questions and respond to feedback.

Next, find the question your teacher posted on the stream page and review any instructions.

Your teacher can also add attachments so make sure to review any materials that may be linked or attached.

Then, comment on the question posted to the stream to let your teacher know you’ve successfully logged in and found the class.

Remember to respond thoughtfully when posting, because the whole class will see your post.

Read through your classmates’ answers and reply to their comments with feedback or questions.

When commenting, remember to engage respectfully with your classmates.

Your classmates may have different perspectives that you can learn from.

This can be an opportunity to learn from and to support each other.

Learning works best when a diverse group of people come together to share ideas.

Feel free to ask questions about different views, but remember to be open minded and kind.
