Introduction to Create a Virtual Family Reunion in Google Slides
Transcript
Hosting a virtual reunion can help you socially connect with family and friends when you can’t get together in-person.
In this lesson, you will create a virtual reunion to connect with family members, friends, or anyone else you choose.
People plan reunions for many different reasons.
They might want to get together with family members or friends who live far away...
Gather to pass down family history and traditions, Or see classmates they haven’t talked to in a while.
You might also connect with people at a reunion that you aren’t related to, but whom you consider family.
For example, you may be part of a sports family...
...Or a family who shares an interest in an activity or hobby.
You might even think of close friends or neighbors as “family” even though they are not related to you.
Reflect on what family is and what it means to you personally.
No matter who you want to reunite with, collaborating virtually provides a fun way for everyone to connect and share news about themselves without being together in-person.
In this lesson, you will build a presentation in Google Slides where people can share news and updates about their lives.
Then, you will share the presentation and invite people to add their information to it.
Using Google Slides allows everyone to add a slide about themselves to the same presentation.
They can then view the slides at different times from different places.
This lesson will show you how to build and share the presentation in Google Slides.
If you like, you could also hold a video conference where people get together virtually to talk and share, and you could present each person’s slide.
Check out the extension following this lesson to find out how to host a virtual reunion using Google Meet.
If you’d like, ask the people you live with to do their own slides before you share the presentation with others.
Or, just do one slide as a group with them instead.
This lesson uses Google Slides, but you could apply these skills and concepts in most other presentation applications.
