Building your professional brand allows you to highlight the most positive things about yourself when seeking a new job, a scholarship, and many other opportunities.
Creating a mission statement allows you to think about how you want to be perceived by the professional and academic world.
In this lesson you used Google Slides to build a professional brand profile that you can refer to when you are asked about your qualifications.
To build your professional brand profile, you: Created and named a new presentation and added a title and subtitle, Added a slide and wrote three qualities, skills, or talents that you want to be perceived as having.
You also added another slide and wrote a mission statement.
Next, you added three more slides and added titles for each quality or skill from your mission statement.
You added at least one experience to demonstrate each quality or skill.
Then, you added evidence to support these experiences.
You also added links between slides to improve navigation within your presentation.
By taking the time to build and organize your professional brand profile, you are prepared to promote your information to others who may have new opportunities that you are interested in.
