Add Hyperlinks to Your Blog

Create hyperlinks for two keywords in the introduction to your blog.

Transcript

In this extension, you will add hyperlinks to your blog.

Hyperlinks make it easy for your audience to learn more about topics you’ve mentioned or connect them to another website you’d like them to see.

To start, review your blog introduction.

Choose two key words to use as hyperlinks.

In your blog, a keyword might be a concept you’d like your audience to explore or a person or place you’d like them to know more about.

Next, search for information about each keyword.

You can use Google Arts & Culture to help you find more information.

Copy the url of the website you want to hyperlink to.

Select the corresponding text on your blog and add a link to it.

Continue searching to find more information about each of the keywords.

Think about online safety when you create hyperlinks.

Make sure the website you use is credible, or believable, and that the content of the site matches the purpose and audience of the blog.

Websites that end in dot E-D-U or dot G-O-V are a good indication that the information is objective and credible.

If you want to remove your site for any reason, unpublish it.

This takes it off the internet.

You can always publish it again later.
