Add a Link To Your Custom Map
Transcript
In this video, you will add a link from your custom map to your area guide spreadsheet so your users can access it.
To begin, create a space for the map link in your area guide.
Unfreeze the header row and insert a row underneath it.
Next, merge several cells in the new row to make a large cell for your map link.
Then, type text in the merged cells to tell your users to check out the map.
Use whatever message you'd like.
If the font or the fill color of your new cell doesn't match the column headings, change the format of the text and the cell so that it matches.
Next, freeze the top two rows.
Then, link this text to the U-R-L for your map.
Go to your map and copy the link.
Next, click back to your area guide and add a link to the map.
Now your viewers can click on this link and access your map.
Now, it's your turn: Unfreeze the top row of your area guide, insert a row below the headers and merge several cells in this row, add text that instructs your users to view your map, link the text to your custom map, and freeze the top two rows.
When you've finished these steps, move on to the next video to wrap up these lessons.
