Choose an Audience and Area for Your Guide
Transcript
In this video, you will choose an audience for your guide and an area you would like to share with them.
It will be easier for you to create a detailed guide if you choose a location that is familiar to you.
To begin, consider who you want to use your guide.
Travel guides are often aimed at a specific group of travelers.
A guide might be for: family members, friends, outdoor enthusiasts, tourists, or history buffs.
Making your guide for a specific audience will help you choose appropriate locations to include in your guide.
Next, reflect on geographic areas that are special to you.
You might create a guide to an area that has personal meaning such as... memorable locations from your childhood, important places in your family history, or sites you would like to see on a trip.
Or you might choose an area that has important cultural locations such as... historic sites, museums, art galleries, or restaurants.
Just make sure the location you choose is an address you can find on a map.
For example, don't choose outer space or the ocean.
Once you've decided on an audience and a geographic area, rename your spreadsheet to include this information.
Now, it's your turn: Identify an audience for your guide, choose a geographic area for your guide, and title your spreadsheet.
