In this lesson you created your own version of the traditional folk art called papel picado in Google Slides.

You also learned about how papel picado is used to celebrate Día de los Muertos in Mexico and what some of the icons are symbolic of.

As you completed this lesson you… Made a copy of the starter project and renamed it.

Added a papel design to a new slide and arranged it to the page Chose a person to represent with your design and added icons to symbolize that person.

Created patterns with icons, Searched for your own icons and formatted them on your papel and added speaker notes to explain your theme and the symbolism of your icons.

As a result of this project you learned about the celebration of life called Día de los Muertos.
