Welcome New Students with a Presentation Wrap-Up
Transcript
In this lesson, you worked with your classmates to create a presentation to welcome new students to your school and help them to adjust.
As you completed this project, you: created a new presentation and titled it, complete the title slide and select a theme, added slides for each of your tips and a conclusion slide, shared the presentation with your group, added bullet points to explain your tips in more detail, and previewed and edited your presentation.
Sharing what you know about your school with new students make a lot easier for them and everyone at your school.
With permission, you can share your presentation with the elementary schools or middle schools that feed into your school.
Or, you can request that your presentation be shared at a new student tours, orientations, or assemblies at the beginning of the year.
Creating a welcome presentation such as this one can provide a useful orientation to new people in other situations as well, such as a club or workplace.
You can feel good that your presentation can help new students feel welcome at your school.
Make them even more comfortable by introducing yourself to them.
You might just make a new friend.
