Add an Emoji That Represents Yourself
Create an emoji in Google Drawings and add it to your slide.
Transcript
In this video, you will add an emoji that represents who you are to your slide.
You can use your emoji to express your personality or something you like.
An emoji is an image used to represent a person, an idea, or an emotion.
You may have seen emojis that have already been created in texts or social media.
But creating your own emoji is a fun way to show people who you are.
This example has sunglasses, a happy face, and the sun to represent that they love warm weather.
To begin, open a new browser tab and go to Google Drive.
Then, create a new drawing and rename it.
You can use different shapes, lines, and colors to create your emoji.
You might start with an oval or circle to make a face for your emoji, or any other shape you prefer.
Move the shape to where you want it on the canvas and resize it.
Next, choose a color for your shape.
Now that you’ve selected the basic shape and color of your emoji’s face, use different shapes, lines, and colors to add features such as the eyes, nose, mouth, ears, or eyebrows.
You might even put sunglasses or a hat on your emoji.
Make at least two features.
Finish adding shapes, lines, and colors to create your emoji...
...and add a background color.
Now, download your drawing as a JPEG file.
This stores your emoji on your computer so you can use it on your slide.
Return to the tab with your slide...
...and upload your emoji.
Move the emoji to where you want it on the slide and resize it.
Finally, animate your emoji.
Play your animation to test it out.
Now, it’s your turn: Create a new drawing and rename it, use shapes, lines, and colors to create an emoji that represents yourself, download the drawing as a JPEG file, upload the file onto your slide, move it to where you want it, and resize it, and animate your emoji.
Add a Rebus Puzzle That Represents Yourself
Add a rebus puzzle that describes yourself to your slide.
Transcript
In this video, you will add a rebus puzzle that describes yourself to your slide.
In a rebus puzzle, some of the words are replaced with symbols or pictures.
Or, something is added to the word or the words and letters are rearranged to give a clue to the answer.
To begin, brainstorm a few things about yourself that people might be able to guess with a rebus puzzle.
For example, if cheese is one of your favorite foods, you might create the rebus puzzle blue cheese.
This example will use the rebus top secret to show that the student is a private person.
Once you have your rebus puzzle in mind, decide how you will represent it on your slide.
You might use shapes, lines, colors, images, or text.
Whatever you use, make sure you can see it clearly against the background.
Finish creating your rebus puzzle...
...and animate it.
Play your animation to test it out.
Now, it’s your turn: Use shapes, lines, colors, images, or text to add a rebus puzzle that represents yourself to your slide, adjust the parts as needed, and animate the rebus puzzle.
