The first step in creating your slide is to add a background for the images and text.

In this video, you will choose a background for your slide.

The background you choose could be a real place, like your favorite park, ...Or a classroom, ...Or be something you’re interested in, like outer space.

It could even be something unique, like the background of a painting.

Or choose a solid color if that color has meaning to you, like one that represents your culture or a sports team you’re on.

No matter what background you choose, be sure that it doesn’t distract from the images and text in front of it.

To begin, return to the presentation you created in the previous video and delete the text boxes on the slide.

If you have a photo of a favorite place on your phone or camera, you can upload it to your computer or to Google Drive.

Or, you can use Google Search to search for backgrounds using words like empty room or empty background.

You might also search without the word empty if you’re looking for a background with fewer elements, like a galaxy.

You can also be more specific, such as searching for empty field.

Search for the image and make sure you have the right to use the image.

Once you’ve found the background image you’d like to use, add it to your slide.

If you would like to use a meaningful background color instead of an image, choose one now.

Now, it’s your turn: Delete the text boxes on your slide, upload a background image or search for one using Google Search, add the background you choose to your slide, and select a background color if you are using that instead.
