In this video, you will search for and add an image of one person or place to your collage.

Then, you will crop the image and mask it into a shape.

Cropping means to cut off portions of an image that you don't want or need.

Cropping your images will direct focus to the part of the image you want to feature, like a person's face.

To start, search for an image.

Make sure you have the right to use the image.

The images you use in your project should be your own, or licensed under creative commons.

Then, insert your image.

Next, crop your image into a new shape.

This is called creating a mask.

A mask hides parts of an image to focus on only the parts you want to show within your new shape.

There are many shapes to choose from, but this lesson uses a hexagon.

You will use the same shape for all your images to create an appealing visual design.

Resize the hexagon so there's enough space in your drawing to add more images.

Move the image around within the mask to show what you want to focus on and hide the rest of the image.

You can also make the image itself bigger or smaller.

Adjust the size and position of the image to decide what looks best.

Now, it's your turn: search for an image of a person or place, insert the image, crop your image into a hexagon, adjust the size of the shape, and adjust the image to fit within the shape.
