Create a Collage in Google Drawings Wrap-Up
Transcript
In this lesson, you created a collage in Google Drawings featuring people or places that are important to you or your culture.
In this lesson you: brainstormed cultural icons and places that are meaningful to you, searched for and inserted images of these people and places into your drawing, cropped your images into a shape, arranged them to create a polished design, emphasized a feature image by adding a border, and added a background color to your collage.
As you completed this project, you explored your identity by including images of people or places that have impacted your culture or community.
You also used design principles to maintain consistency and create a sense of hierarchy in your project.
The design skills you learned in this lesson will be useful to you in school and in your future career.
Professionals who use design principles in their jobs include graphic designers, visual artists, photographers, and many others.
But no matter what job you choose in the future, you might prepare a visual design to share information, pitch an idea, or sell a product.
Practicing certain design principles, such as consistency and hierarchy, will help you communicate your message and make your work look professional.
Keep creating collages and other visual designs to reflect your identity and communicate with others.
